RAINBOWS

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Starting to feel a little better about things in general lately.I have been setting myself little tasks and goals this week which helps with the "swamped" feelings I have been having. Being able to see what I have achieved stops me from feeling overloaded and getting stressed about the enormity of things. My eating has been OK, nothing flash, I seem to go great during the day but crave something sweet after dinner and have been dipping into the choccy biscuits, I need to find something that satisfies my sweet cravings without totalling blowing my good work. Tonight my mum has asked us over for dinner, she's cooking a pork roast - Y-U-M, my favourite and there will probably be an apple pie for dessert, oh well I have a choice don't I.

I've got two new words I'm using at the moment:-

DISCIPLINE AND NURTURING

I'm making a consistent effort to reminds myself about them several times a day. I need discipline in my life on many ,many levels and I also need to remember to nurture myself because if I don't do it no one else will that's for sure.

Tomorrow were heading off to the horse races at Royal Randwick - our boy is running and were having a family day out with the Uncles and Aunt, should be a great day if the weather holds out for us. I'll try and take some photos of us swanning around with "beautiful people"

Oh and I changed my avatar, something I created in Photobucket just to kill some time,it's my alter ego, what do you think?

Sweet treats - this is a weakness for me too. I used to eat bags of sugar/sour candies. Didn't realize how many calories they had in them until I started paying attention. I have found popsicles - 100 calories, sweet and satifying. Also freezies - I found sugar free ones, sweetened with Splenda, 5 calories each - smaller, but when I can have 2 or 3 of those at a time I feel like I have had a real treat. So glad that you are feeling better - I love your new avatar - my alter ego doesn't have a face, lol! :) Would love to try and give her a face one day! You take care of yourself.

I'm happy to hear you are doing better. Discipline and nurture. Sound like good things to strive for. You are right, now one will nurture us, or take care of us, they look to us to take care of them being a mom. So, we need to take care of ourselves by eating right and exercising but sometimes, wouldn't a nice massage or other be nice? Can dream or else I'll buy one, ha!
Have a good week and good luck, hope your horse wins!
avatar is cute.

I'm pleased you are feeling a bit better.

The Pork Roast and Apple Pie sound like they will test your mental strength.

I find one ounce of expensive, high-quality, natural chocolate (or chocolate with stuff in it) far more satisfying than bigger amounts of less natural diet-y type foods.

Oh, and also, when I want something sweet after dinner but want to keep from it, I brush my teeth. It actually works to get it out of my mind!

Late night cravings are deadly. They really put the weight on, since you then go to sleep (or watch TV).

It's awesome that you are digging your way out of this pit, rather than admiting defeat. The sun always shines at the top. You go girl!

For a quick hit sugar craving at any time, i can't beat chupa chup lolly pops. There are so many different flavours to chose from, and it's NOT one of those things that i can't help but eat the whole packet once they are open! It's a win, win :o)

Disipline & nurture are great words. We can all take something from that :o)

I LOOOOVE that Lord Of The Pugs picture! I stole it, thanks :o)

Keep your chin up [[HUGS]] :o)

Love the avatar.

I know what you mean about the sinking feeling... when I read your blog I feel like I am reading about myself quite a lot. I have sweet cravings after dinner too... it is soo hard this journey isn't it. I want to stop my sinking feeling... too many things and not enough time that is what I reckon.

Love ya
