IT'S TIME

Time to get serious again about losing weight.

My commitment of last week to at least watch what I ate did not go to plan. It started off with a call from my Dr telling me the blood test I had for the gluten intolerance had been "compromised" so it would have to be done again in 2 months time as if they did it now it would not be a true reading as I have been eating gluten free for the past few weeks.

Compromised, don't you just love that word ,so ambiguous and medical talk for, "We don't know what the f*ck happened". So, being the good Celtic Girl that I am, I have been eating EVERYTHING gluten laden. Apple pie with cream everyday, pies. sausage rolls, kranksy's in pastry, KFC the sorry list goes on.

I weighed in today for a gain of .200 grams which surprised me I must admit considering what I've eaten over the past week. So it's back to the straight and narrow for me, which frankly I'm looking forward to as I must admit I feel fat and crappy at the moment from all the junk. I've got a birthday coming up in a little over 3 weeks so I would like to be at the 118 kg mark again.

QUOTE FOR THE DAY: "Action is the antidote to despair".

I don;t much care for doctors, well someof them can be ok...but the needle aspect I truly HATE.

I hoe you get to feeling a bit more refreshed and feel as though you are making better decisions.

Good Luck = )

Sometime doctors don't know everything, that's for sure!

Good going on thinking of committing to losing weight again. When I start to slack I think of how good I have been feeling physically from working out and that usually gets me to keep working out. But, I have a goal for the tri. I hope I can keep it up after that though I know I won't have much time when school starts up next month.

Hope you are feeling better. It must be so challenging.

Hun when is your birthday? Mine is at the start of Sept too... tooo weird.

I know what you mean about feeling like crap because food hasn't been that wonderful. I don't want to feel like that anymore either.

Remember the terrier and piss on it! Don't eat it though. Stick to your diet like white on rice!

HAHAH you're post cracked me up today ... I totally agree with you on the 'compromised' word! lol

Bugger, something like that would set me off too. Well now that you've enjoyed your eating session you can get back into it and to only gain 200g is pretty good. You probably thought you did worse than you did.

We all have bad weeks and you appear to have got away with it. Only a 0.2kg gain is ok for a bad week, its succesive bad weeks that do the damage.

Here you are! Lost the link to your blog but now it's back in my favourites.

Sorry to hear you've been having a tough time lately with your health, something so many of us take for granted.

118kgs, 118kgs, 118kgs - focus on it and you'll make it happen.

I'm getting even more serious too - starting a medically supervised diet on Monday. I've been doing fine on my own for over 60 weeks (lost over 80 lbs) - I'm ready to take it up a notch!
