TRYING FOR A CHOCOLATE FREE ZONE

I'm really struggling with the chocolate. I have some easter gifts and I can smell the blasted stuff.

The stupid thing about all of this is I'm not really a chocoholic, OK, like most people I do like chocolate but am not an addict. My daughter on the other hand loves chocolate and she would eat it all day everday if she could.

A work collegue gave me a chocolate bunny, I held out for 6 hours, then ate it all in one sitting last Wednesday night. I paid the consequences for it the next day though, I had a bad headache and some dodgy bowels.

I had another huge egg given to me and I told my husband to eat it if he knew what was good for him! lol! Thank goodness he didn't need much encouragement.

I suppose my cravings are coming down to plain old "forbidden fruits" mentality and feelings of deprivation. We always want what we dont or can't have.

Maybe I need to retrain my brain by thinking of it as dogs doo or something like that!!!

Oh well better go and heat up my dinner,it's fish for tonight.

Easter isn't my only downfall - I have a hard time with chocolate 365 days a year. Dairy Milk chocolate bars - I would love to eat the family size bar of that! LOL! Have a great weekend and happy Easter!

Lol ... good luck with retraining your brain - let me know how that goes, it could well be the secret to all our successes!

I'm much the same - couldn't care less about chocolate but if you put it in front of me that's a different story.

Hope you have a fabulous Easter!

Howdy! found you through a comment on wanna's blog so thought i'd say hi.

I refrain from buying chocolate in general..........if it is at home i will eat it all in one sitting. argh!! therefore better if the house remains chocolate free. although we do have chocolate topping in the house & i've yet to consider that as "real" chocolate. Perhaps their is hope..............

I'm not big on chocolate, but i love easter eggs, mainly for the texture.

I love seeing that photo of you. It's the only one we've seen other than that distant shot you had with you and your freind about a year ago.
It's like meeting you for the first time and it feels weird! lol

Is that you my sweet. You are sooooo cute!!! You look like your dqughter ... or I guess it's the other way around.

I realy empqthise. Sweets do me in big time, especially chocolate and I have never found a long term solution for dealing with it. I've tried hqving a little once in a while and that has worked for a few months then I go ape wild and binge on the stuff. I've tired completely abstaining qnd thqt hqs worked the best and longest for me, but after years at a time of having nothing sweet I've always gone back to it with a vengence.

I don't know what works in the long term. All I can say is put it behind you and move on. You are doing sooooo well and you deserve to continue to lose weight and be healthy. Don't let one bunny derail you.
