It's day 9 of my elimination diet.
It hasn't really been to bad, just a bit monotonous. I jumped on the scales today just to have a peek and I have gained a little weight. I know this is not about weight loss at the moment but I know I have eating more than I probably need to. I think I am compensating for the deprivation I think I feel. It's a mind thing I know.
I have been experimenting with some recipes to try and liven things up, but there's only so much you can do with such a limiting regime. I made a gluten, dairy and egg free banana bread on the weekend which was good.
In celebration of Shrove Tuesday today (pancake day) I made myself some buckwheat pancakes for breakfast with maple syrup - very yummy. I did miss the whipped butter!!! lol
I still feel a bit blah, I don't think it has anything to do with my diet, maybe I have a virus or somehting as I'm head-achy and aching all over. If anyone thinks otherwise please let me know of your experiencers. As I'm doing this on my own accord I cannot refer to anyone, though my book dosen't say anything about any possible symptons from the diet.

Aches and pains are no fun. Lots of people here have been sick with tummy stuff and plenty of headaches to go around.
I soon hope you are feeling better and the mission is successful!
I think it probably is due to the diet... you can't go changing your intake radically and not feel a bit blah I reckon. You will be fine once you get back to 'normal'..... hopefully!
The pancakes sound really good. Hope you feel better real soon!
It is weird to suddenly be without a bunch of foods, so you certainly could feel off emotionally if not physically. There's a lot of sickness going around right now, too, though! I hope you feel better soon.
It could be due to withdrawing from something. Keep your water up too :o)
I think the main thing is to be aware that diet change can effect you in different ways.
You are taking a sesible route trying to liven things up but still been aware of the eventual aim.
Yep, I agree with Chris - any sudden change in diet or withdrawal symptoms of certain foods as such can play havoc with your body. Once your body adjusts i'm sure you'll be back to normal. Hope the scales drop back down again soon - even if it's not about weight loss it sure would be a nice side effect!
I've been having my share of aches and pains too and maybe tummy flu. Things are going around.
And about the headaches, I used to get them when I would do a restricting diet. I think it means you are dehydrated or missing certain vitamins but it would happen every time. I don't get them now at all.
Hope you are feeling better soon.
I agree with several people here, the body can go through withdrawal symptons when we remove a food from our food plan. I think the blogger Wanna has some experience with gluten issues and I also read another blog recently which deals a lot with food allergies etc. Here is her link: http://aprovechar.danandsally.com/
I hope you feel better. It's hard to face life when you are feeling rotten.
(((Hugs)))
Shrove Tuesday? Ash Wednesday? Oh my!
Hope you are feeling better soon. I feel for you, but I am very motivated by your positive example of sacrifice. I have to put my own feet into the fire and get back on the ball here!!!
Miss ya [[HUGS]] :o)
