GOOD NEWS - Weighed in today for a loss of 1.2kg (2.64 lbs) - GO ME!

BAD NEWS - Went to my Immunologist yesterday and got the berating I knew I would get which had me in tears.Every word though he said was relevant and correct and gave me the shake up I needed. To be told "Your 46, still a young woman and look at you, your a mess"! was the comment that hit home the most.

My fractures are not healing as they should and they are worried the bones are necrosing due to lack of blood supply, so I have to have a few - no alot of tests, and a complete overhaul to reassess my condition in an attempt to get me off the damn steroids I have been taking for 12 years.

I'll be away for nearly two weeks, funny thing is I'm more concerned how I'll go eating wise while I'm flat on my back. First thing I want to do is speak to the Dietitian and see if they can give me some calorie controlled meals.

Anyway bye for now and please say a prayer for me. I'll leave you again with another funny.

Great weight loss. Sorry to hear your bad doctors report. I'll keep you in my prayers. Hang in there.

Time to take care of your health. Do whatever you have to do! 46 is too young to be on a scooter!!

They were harsh words, but there's no point in beating around the bush.
You can get calorie controled meals while being on your back. There's also exercises you can do while being on your back.
What hospital are you going to?

Well at least he was honest with you.... and I hope you do everything you are told and behave AND get better!!!

Congratulations on the weight loss and so sorry to hear the news from the doctor is not good.

All the best with the tests and I'll be thinking of you during this time.

Hope you get better soon.

No point the Doc not pointing out the facts, he probably told you what you knew already.
Great loss this week, keep that up, you can't improve things overnight you've gotta stay determined for life.
You will have set backs on the way (and thats not a excuse) but its how you bounce back each time that matters.
I'm sure all your readers like me will give you as much support as we can.

Oh honey, so sorry to hear this news. Sounds as though this doc is interested in treating the whole person as opposed to just your symptoms. Hope you start to resolve these issues soon and congrats with the great weight loss.

Firstly congrats on the loss! Secondly sometimes it takes harsh words to get action and sounds like it might have been just what you needed. So focus on getting yourself healthy again, eat the best you can in the meantime and fingers crossed you'll be off those steroids sooner rather than later.

Consider the prayer said. By now your two weeks are past already, and I am as usual late.

But I will keep an eye open for your next post. Stay strong, and judging from the comments, you have a LOT of people rooting for you.
