In answer Cactusfreek's question re my last post.
The diagram shows some conditions that are related to obesity and the results this particular research had with their patients. Cactus also asked me if I felt "healthier" now I had decided to have the surgery. I don't feel healthier - yet, I certainly feel relieved that there is a "light at the end of the tunnel", mix that with being a little scared of the unknown like "Will this really work" and "Am I going to be sick with it" pretty much sums up the emotions.
I haven't started my low carb eating plan yet, I wanted a couple of days where I didn't think about what I was eating - a final swansong if you like. Yes, I know this is not the thing to be doing, so lets say it was my way of saying goodbye to all of my eating demons.
I am now committing myself to the plan and intend to take on board everything they Dr's say and recommend from now on.My eating plan is easy to follow, I have a list of foods I can eat, if it's not on the list I cannot have it. I must eat 100grams of protein for breakfast, 150 grams for lunch and 200 grams for dinner with heaps of free vegetables. No pasta, rice, potatoes, peas, corn, pumpkin , maximum of 2 slices of Rye bread per day and no eating between meals (if I'm really starving I'm allowed a diet yogurt, oh and 2 litres of H20 as well.
I'll take my weight and measurements tomorrow as my start for this whole process and maybe some photos as well.

I am glad you can see light at the end of the tunnel..I know it would have been a gard decision to make and you would have thought about it long and hard...
Take care and I wish you all the best..I for one will definitely be following your journey to a healthier lifestyle...
I am sooo excited... things are about to happen mate!
I'll be another one following your journey. Exciting for you!
Wow just watch that weight fall off you! I think many of us are guilty of that last little binge, I know I definitely am.
You have a difficult road ahead. The diet is the first step in the process. I pray that the surgery goes well and free of complications. I am confident that it will all work out for you in the long run.
Wow, My comment questions have been mentioned on two blogs today. Yours and Fat Lazy Guys. I must ask great questions? lol
Your attitude seems to have changed/lifted since you decided to have the surgery. That's why i asked if you feel healthier knowing there's light at the end of the tunnel.
Do you live in or around Rose Hill? I have a freind going down there on Tues. Maybe i could come too and we could do coffee :o)
The eating plan sounds like a good one. Have you been reading about other people's outcomes to prepare yourself. I've been reading since you began blogging about it and it seems to have changed a lot of lives for the MUCH MUCH BETTER.
One woman on You Tube lost 40lbs in 4 months. She said she had to relearn a lot of things, like chewing properly and slowly. That doesn't sound like a bad thing to have to learn.
(((Hugs)))
LET'S SEE BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS!!
I'm happy for you that things are moving along....photos and stories of your experience would be great to follow.
