Have had a mixed week, one day I feel fine and the next I feel like crap and can hardly drag myself around.
I thought at first it may be because I haven't been taking in enough calories, so I made myself some chicken and vege soup and blended the crap out of it so it was liquid enough to go up a straw. I felt better the next day, but today feel so weak and achy.
Every time I drink something I get these cramps in my belly, not from the band but from my colon, so maybe my colitis has flared up again.
I took all my dressings off and all are OK except for the one on my left which has not joined together. It is a small incision and only opened superficially so will just keep an eye on it.
As you can see my stomach is rather bruised and it is still sore but getting better everyday.
I weighed myself this morning for a loss of 5kg(11 lbs)for the week, so all is going well on that front. I'm still not hungry just miss the taste of different foods.
Monday I see the nutritionist so I hope he says I can progress to mushy foods, I'm hanging out for some mashed potatoes!!!
MIGHT.... SEW!

Hang in there, things will get better and easier.
All the bruising will go away soon, see its already getting yellow around the edges. Hope the small incision heals like the rest of them and you don't end up with much scaring.
Congratulations on the loss so far, that's fantastic.
I recognise those wounds!!! It is like we are tattooed now, joined up for some new gang...lol.
5kgs in one week!!! OMG, that is fantastic!
Thanks for sharing your journey,
Tracey
WOW 5kgs already. That's fantastic. Fingers crossed you can have some smashed potatoes soon. xx
Hells bells, how many holes did they poke into you? Small damage for the enourmous gains you will have eh? Well done on flashin ya tummy!
Things will improve...hang in there! Are you taking vitamins? Maybe Yakhult would help settle the stomach a bit?
Luke 4: 1 Filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the desert,
2 for forty days being put to the test by the devil. During that time he ate nothing and at the end he was hungry.
Gee that Micky is getting around!
You planning on going into a desert for a while? lol
Malnutrition is something you'll really have to watch. I saw a thing on tele once about a woman who had the lap band surgery and then when she saw a surgeon about getting her skin cut off, she was told that they wouldn't do it because she was too malnurished from not being able to eat enough and of the right things. So she was stuck with a gross amount of hanging skin all over her. It was a really sad story and something that has stuck in my mind :o/
How do you feel about the loss?
Gee that CactusFreek is getting around!!
lol Micky, touche' :oÞ
Congrats on the result this week - i'm sure it makes everything you're going through that little bit easier to cope with knowing the numbers are dropping so quickly.
Rest when you can - you've had major surgery and it will take some time to recover. Hope you feel better soon - bring on those mashed potatoes ... lol
Sorry haven't been around lately but just got caught up on your last few posts.
