FRIEND UPDATE

Just to update you on the Tuesday's work crisis. The case has been adjourned till 23rd May and because it is a workplace issue, will be set with a mediator and not a judge. I hope this "mediator" sees it as a purely trivial and baseless claim and throws it out with a stern reprimand to the "other" party. I will refer to the other employee as "the other party" as I do not even want to utter her name, I am so disgusted with the whole affair. My co-worker has been off work for the last two days, I spoke to her this morning and she said she hasn't been sleeping and feels sick to the stomach all the time. Poor thing she's going to be a nervous wreck for the next two weeks. I told her the rest of the staff were behind her 100%. The "other party" has been fronting for work like nothing has happened, for such a sensitive,emotional person , she sure has a hide as thick as an elephant!

Anyhow, I'm off to bed, I've had a bad headache all day so I'm going to take some heavy duty medication and try to see Lucy in the Sky (with diamonds).

Shit happens, I think it sucks that it can affect someone so much and the other person just breezes along like nothing has happened. Sometimes I really don't like the human race. I hope this awful situation is not affecting you too much.

I don't mean to sound niave, but what if the other party has a fair case? You didn't say she was lieing, or give us juicy details. What if she really was threatened?

If she was out of line, then karma will come and bite her on the ass like he always does!

If the situation is as innocent as it may be then your friend has a Brit lass 100% behind her also.

Cactus,It is not a fair case, the other party from what I read on the court documents has stated certain things that were not said,this was confirmed by my collegue and another witness. To me an AVO should only be an option when there is a definate threat to the "victim".A workplace dispute where there is no threat should at least be attepted to sort out in house first.

ChrisH, It has definately put a sour taste in my mouth and I have taken a vow to keep my big mouth shut.

Well going by what you said Celtic Girl, you are right. It should be sorted out instead of dragging other people into. This woman sounds like she just needs the attention. People like that always trip over, and they grow old very lonely!
