It's an understatement for me to say I'm struggling on the diet front at the moment. The weekend was particularly bad, I felt like I was starving most of the time. I can't understand why I'm feeling like this. I'm eating 1500 cals, spread over three meals and three snacks per day. After dinner is the worst, a real danger time for me. I succumbed big time on Saturday night once I started it was hard to stop. The only saving grace for me was the fact that I hadn't done my weekly grocery shop which limited my choices. Sunday was a little better, though I again got the after dinner munchies.
Tomorrow I'm going to make a consistent effort to drink my water throughout the day, What I usually do is drink the bulk of it the morning(1 litre) and taper off to nothing by dinner time. Also going to have a small green salad on top of my set lunch and dinner menus to help fill me up better.
Is this a product of my low carb diet?? I was not this hungry when I was on the shakes, it is a mystery to me, one which I hope I can pull myself out of- quickly!!

Its always tough but at the end of the day you need to find motivation, your friends can encourage you but only one person can do it.
I find the first day or so on low-carb is the hardest then my body adjusts. I think the water drinking is a great idea. I am really bad at drinking but when I do it sure creates the illusion of fullness.
Hang in there. It will get better.
I know EXACTLY where you are at at the moment and it is sooooo hard.
The water does help and if you keep a bottle with you all the time it is easier to sip during the day.
Hang in there.
Water, water! When I feel like niblling I quite often make up a diet jelly, replacing one caup of boiling water with one cup of yoghurt. It's quite filling. Good luck - hope you pull out of this stage.
I so understand..
I had been like that for 5 months of this year...
I think the thing I have just realised is that I have to live!!! and that obsessing about what I am eating is not good. When I obsess then I want more and more food.
Just eat normally hun.. don't go no carbs or more protein or shakes... just eat your three main meals and 2 snacks and all in moderation... when you think think think about it it makes you want to eat more. I hope that makes sense.
I know I am not losing big amounts but I think I have gotten in to a groove now because I have stopped thinking about dieting and thinking about what I want and it all has to be in moderation.
You know what my email is hun...email me when you are wanting to eat or if you need to chat...
Also TRACK TRACK TRACK... you have seen my tracker and Janene and I are doing that everyday together...

If something isn't working then maybe it is time to change. If your horse isn't getting you to the finish line, time to switch horses.
Maybe it's just your body transitioning to the new eating. Or maybe you need a little more calories. Your body needs carbs and it prob. noticing how you aren't giving it enough. It is a major fuel source and I prob. wouldn't go low carb if your body doesn't like it. Maybe just healthy like the 40/30/30 split with protein being the 40 would be good? Anyway, I do like to drink the flavored waters when I'm hungry or even tea at night to give me a little something or some fruit.
Loved the last comment on my blog hun... laughing a lot he he he...

It sucks. Believe me. I always get the munchies after dinner. It's usually a sweet tooth and I want ice cream or something. I have found that juice bars do the trick. You can get them at the grocery store in the freezer section. They are a perfect "dessert" for after dinner.
I want to eat at night too!!!!! I think I gain ALL Of my weight at night!!! I am not much of a breakfast person...so by dinner I am starving!!!
Some days are better than others! You can do this!!
Get rid of that picture. You are her, just better :o)
