Well, I should be feeling on top of the world today as it is the last day of work and a half day at that. Unfortunately, I'm feeling pretty shite as my 15 year old daughter had one of her teenage angst moments last night and told me she hated me and I was a f#%king bitch. This morning was no better - refused to say goodbye and when I said she should be apologising to me - I got another mouthful. I'm really at my wits ends with her - She is an extremely intelligent girl who has been raised in a good loving home. As a only child my husbands and my life has always revolved around her. Maybe that's the problem, we have given her to much.
My mother says it is a stage and it will end soon - but I'm sorry I don't believe she should be carrying on like that with anyone especially me - her mother.
Anyway, I want to wish you all a very happy and safe Christmas to you all.

[[[HUGS]]] I understand 100% and i'm going through the same thing myself! I have a 14yo who think i don't know anything and i'm just trying to ruin her life, no matter what i do!
I won't tolerate her talking to me like that [she has tried]. The first and last time she swore at me, i waited till she calmed down and sat her down to have a "chat". I told her on no uncertain terms that this is my house,i gave birth to her, i am doing my best with the knowledge that i have to raise her to be the best adult she can be, i provide her with everything she needs, i try to provide her with what she wants within reason, and i deserve the respect i've earned dam it!!
She has just under 4 years before she's 18 and can leave home. Untill then she has to abide by my rules, then she can do whatever she wants.
Then after telling her that she still tries to give me cheek, but i get on top of it right away.
But now she has redirected her intentions to manipulation and lying. She'll ask me for something that i won't really want to let her have/do, but she'll get it. After she walks away, i'm left thinking, "How the bloody hell did she do that!" And i feel like an idiot and feel like she thinks i'm an idiot.
Oh my goodness, i could just go on and on.....
Don't feel alone ok?
Mothers of teenagers understand why some animals eat their young! lol
