As mentioned in my last post I rejoined Weight Watchers last night and as expected weighed 2 kilos more than my scales. I have changed my tracker to reflect the WW weight as that will be the benchmark. They have rehashed the programs again - The No Count program is now the Core Program. I always do the points plan anyway, which also had some changes as follows:
Starchy veges like potato, corn, peas and parsnips are no longer "free" and have to be counted in your points. You know longer have to count your sugar points, just eat them in "moderation" I bet that one will be changed back next year as I dang well know what my definition of moderation is !!!! rofl There is a Superstart menu for the next three weeks which basically is a 20 point limit per day on the points plan. I'm going with this one and see how I go as I'm normally allowed to have 24 points. Anyway wish me luck - the hardest part for me is the planning and preparation. Hmm.. need to remember my time management skills "You've got to plan your planning!

How long have you been working at the weight loss to lose the 16kg ?
I find it easier weighing in Pounds rather than Kg. I think its psychological that the numbers that you lose each week are bigger giving more of a feeling of success.
White Rose Boy
I lost that weight since May 06.I didn't get really serious until July 06. I had lost 20 kilos (44lbs) by Xmas 06 but gained some. You know I also prefer pounds for the same reason - but unfortunately we are a metric country !
Keep up the good work, for the lazy fat people like me....
THANK YOU!
I sometimes wonder about WW I wonder how long it will last till we have to count sugar points again.. it does seem a little silly aye.
I am scared to weigh in after the holiday but hey I have to take responsibility.
Well done for going back to WW!! Why do they have to change things every Xmas for the next year? I just get the hang of things and then they change.
But the Superstart menu sounds good and I think I might try it for a week and see how I go... good push start aye he he
Love CM
Go you for joining back up to WW..I have never done a weightloss program like that... i went to weekly dietician run meetings for about 7 month about 14 years ago and managed to get rid of 26 kilos in that time... but I also had my wedding coming up.. enough to help motivate at the time... Now I am just going to a weekly "weighbridge" meeting run by old ladies... haha..
Alot of encouragement but not alot of ideas... so i just go with what works for me.. I do get alot of tips from all the lovely bloggers i frequent tho...
So keep up the fanastic work.. you are helping other get motivated just by letting us know what you are up to...
hope you have a gr8 time in Canberra...
Heres to a gr8 first week back at WW
I eat a lot of potato and peas. If i had to count them, i'd be stuffed! Maybe i'll cut back a bit to be safe :o) I'll have a small mountain of mashed spud instead of a big mountain with dinner lol
What are they thinking with dropping the sugar points? Thats really stupid! I'm the same with my own idea of what "moderation" is. Moderation depends on the day, mood, and time of month. It could vary from 2 TimTams to a whole packet. Just be safe and count them i reckon.
I only read your entry on my blog about your dog being a Pug x Jack russell. I've never heard of that mix before. Then this morning i was reading the paper and saw an add in the "lost and found" for a lost Pug x Jack russell. How odd.
I tried to post a picture of my Pug on my blog in a photo album form like what Wanna B Slim has on her blog, but i couldn't do it. Next time i add an entry, i'll put a photo on there just for you :o)
Good luck sticking to the plan. I have not followed any diet, because I find that diets create a lot of anxiety for me. Just keeping track of the points is hard. Though I guess if you put a lot of effort into that you have less time for eating!! Best wishes!
